The Kraze Luna Link is the Luna 42K's successor, and the short version of what changed is this: the sealed 42,000-puff device became a 100,000-puff pod that docks in a charging case, the case unlocks a Boost Mode, and refills cost $34.99 instead of $41.99 for a whole new device. Per puff the Luna Link is less than half the price of the Luna 42K. What you give up is the 42K's screen, its wider flavour list, and the simplicity of one sealed thing with nothing to dock. Below is the spec-by-spec comparison, the cost over 200,000 puffs, which flavours carry over, and where the HD Mega 20K, Mega X 48K and Giga 150K fit if you are choosing a Kraze. Prices are UniVape's as of October 31, 2026; the Luna Link is coming soon and not yet on sale.

What stayed the same
The things that made people buy the Luna in the first place. The shape — flat, rounded, bag-sized; the Luna Link case is almost exactly the 42K's footprint, a few millimetres longer and narrower. The 20mL of e-liquid per device. The 20mg/mL nicotine salt, which is the Canadian maximum and the only strength Kraze sells here. A dual mesh coil, adjustable airflow and two power levels. And the price of entry: a Luna Link kit costs the same $41.99 as a Luna 42K.
What changed
Puffs. 100,000 rated against 42,000 — more than double, from the same 20mL. Part of that is the coil (1.1Ω, run at 12W in Norm Mode against the 42K's 11–20W), part of it is how puff ratings are calculated; either way, treat both numbers as ceilings. Kraze's own line is that Boost Mode uses e-liquid faster.
Two parts instead of one. The 42K is sealed: battery, tank and coil in one body, charged by its own USB-C port, thrown away as a whole. The Luna Link splits the battery. A small 200mAh cell in the pod runs it in Norm Mode; the 1000mAh case recharges the pod and, while the pod is docked, switches it to Boost Mode. The pod has no port of its own, so the case is not optional — it is the only way to charge.
Refills. This is the real change. When a Luna 42K is empty you buy another Luna 42K at $41.99. When a Luna Link pod is empty you buy a pod at $34.99 and keep the case. Every pod fits every case.
Screen. The 42K has an HD screen that reads out battery and e-liquid level. Kraze's Luna Link spec sheet lists battery and mode indicator lights instead, with a clear tank so you see the e-liquid rather than read a number. If you liked the screen, that is a step back.
Flavour list. The 42K has 20 flavours at UniVape; the Luna Link launches with 10. Six carry over, one comes from the HD Mega and Giga, three are new — the table below has them.
The cost over 200,000 puffs
| Luna 42K | Luna Link | |
|---|---|---|
| First device | $41.99 (42,000 puffs) | $41.99 kit (100,000 puffs) |
| To reach 100,000 puffs | About 2.4 devices — roughly $100 | $41.99 |
| To reach 200,000 puffs | About 4.8 devices — roughly $200 | $41.99 + one $34.99 pod = $76.98 |
| Per 1,000 rated puffs, ongoing | $1.00 | 35¢ once you own a case |
Rated puffs, so the real numbers will be lower for both — but the ratio holds. If you buy a Luna 42K every few weeks, the Luna Link pays for its case on the first pod.
Which flavours carry over
| Luna Link flavour | Case colour | On the Luna 42K? |
|---|---|---|
| Sapphire Blue Razz Ice | After Dark (black) | Yes |

| Divine Berry Acai Ice | Velvet Dusk (purple) | No — new to Kraze |
| Sassy Strawberry Dragonfruit Ice | First Blush (pink) | Yes |
| Kiwi Pear Cactus G Ice | Blue Mist (blue) | Yes |
| Diamond Spearmint Ice | Serene Garden (green) | Yes |

| Pristine Pina Colada Ice | Moon Pearl (white) | Yes |
What stays 42K-only, for now: Emerald Green Grape, Fruit Jewel Ice, Lemon Lime Bae Ice, Ruby Peach Watermelon Ice, Topaz Banana Ice, Strawberry Cheese Delight, Banana Bake, Fab Fresh Mint Ice, Glitz Grape Ice, Opal Orange Razz Lime Ice, Amber Peach Mango Ice, Miami Mint Ice, Ravish Raspberry Lemon Ice and White Cocoa Swirl — all on the Luna 42K page. If your flavour is on that list, the 42K is still the device to buy.
Who should stay with the Luna 42K
Anyone whose flavour is 42K-only. Anyone who wants the screen. Anyone who changes devices rarely enough that a $7 cheaper refill does not matter. And anyone who does not want a second object to keep track of: the 42K is one thing in the bag; the Luna Link is a case and whichever pod is in it.
Who should wait for the Luna Link
Anyone buying a Luna 42K more than once a month — the per-puff maths above is the whole argument. Anyone who rotates flavours, because pods swap and the case stays. Anyone who wants Boost Mode without buying a bigger device. And anyone who likes the idea of picking a case colour and keeping it.
The rest of the Kraze range, so you can place both
| Kraze device | Rated puffs | E-liquid | Price | Per 1,000 puffs | Flavours at UniVape | Pick it for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HD Mega 20K | 20,000 | 20mL | $37.99 | $1.90 | 27 | The cheapest Kraze and the widest flavour list |
| Luna 42K | 42,000 | 20mL | $41.99 | $1.00 | 20 | The smallest, with a screen |
| Mega X 48K | 48,000 | 20mL | $37.99 | 79¢ | 10 | Most puffs under $40 |
| Luna Link 100K | 100,000 per pod | 20mL | $41.99 kit / $34.99 pod | 42¢ / 35¢ | 10 | The Luna shape with cheap refills and Boost Mode |
| Giga 150K | 150,000 | 40mL | $41.99 | 28¢ | 30 | Most puffs and most e-liquid for the money, in a big device |
Two of these are covered in depth already: the Giga 150K review rates all 30 of its flavours, and longest-lasting disposable vape in Canada puts the Giga against the Allo Nuud 200K, Oxbar G100K and Geek Bar Pulse X 2 100K. The whole field, beyond Kraze, is ranked in our best disposable vapes in Canada guide.
Verdict
If the Luna 42K is already your device and you buy it regularly, the Luna Link is the better buy as soon as it lands: same price to start, 100,000 rated puffs instead of 42,000, $34.99 refills, Boost Mode on tap. If you want the screen, a flavour that has not crossed over, or simply one sealed device, the 42K is still right, and still in stock. If size does not matter to you at all, neither Luna is the cheapest way to vape Kraze — that is the Giga.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Kraze Luna Link the same as the Kraze Luna 42K?
No. The Luna 42K is a sealed disposable: 42,000 puffs, 20mL, 820mAh battery, HD screen, USB-C. The Luna Link is the same mini-bag idea split into a 20mL vaping device rated at 100,000 puffs and a separate 1000mAh charging case that recharges it and unlocks Boost Mode. The Luna Link kit costs the same $41.99; its replacement pods are $34.99.
Is the Luna Link replacing the Luna 42K?
Kraze calls it the next evolution of the Luna, not a replacement, and the 42K is still in stock in 20 flavours on the Luna 42K page. For now they sit side by side: the 42K for people who want a sealed device with a screen and the wider flavour list, the Luna Link for people who want more puffs and cheaper refills.
Which is cheaper, the Luna Link or the Luna 42K?
Per device they cost the same, $41.99. Per puff the Luna Link is less than half the price: about 42 cents per 1,000 rated puffs for the kit and 35 cents for a replacement pod, against $1.00 for the Luna 42K. Over 200,000 rated puffs that is $76.98 for a Luna Link kit plus one pod against roughly $200 of Luna 42Ks.
Can I use a Luna 42K with the Luna Link case?
No. The Luna 42K is a sealed device with its own battery and USB-C port; it does not dock in the Luna Link case, and Luna Link pods cannot be charged by anything but the Luna Link case.
Which Luna 42K flavours are on the Luna Link?
Six: Sapphire Blue Razz Ice, Scarlet Cherry G Ice, Kiwi Pear Cactus G Ice, Diamond Spearmint Ice, Pristine Pina Colada Ice and Sassy Strawberry Dragonfruit Ice. The Luna Link adds Frizzy Peach G Ice from the HD Mega and Giga, and three flavours new to Kraze: Divine Berry Acai Ice, Misty Mango Green Tea Ice and Strawberry NYC D. The 42K's other fourteen flavours stay 42K-only for now.
Does the Luna Link have a screen?
Kraze's spec sheet lists battery and mode indicator lights and a clear tank for the e-liquid level, not the HD screen the Luna 42K has. You see the e-liquid rather than reading a number.
What is the best Kraze vape?
It depends on what you want. Most puffs for the money: the Giga 150K at about 28 cents per 1,000 rated puffs. Smallest: the Luna 42K. Longest-lasting in the small shape, and cheapest to refill: the Luna Link. Cheapest device outright: the HD Mega 20K or Mega X 48K at $37.99, with the Mega X far cheaper per puff of the two.
