Blackwood Tobacco E-Liquid Canada

Blackwood is a tobacco e-liquid line and nothing else — five blends, each built on a real tobacco base rather than a fruit or candy with tobacco bolted on. Every flavour comes two ways: salt nic at $24.99 for pods, freebase at $18.99 for tanks and MTL devices. Both are 30mL, and both are the lowest federal-rate prices on Blackwood in Canada.

Pick the right one of the two

This is the part people get wrong, so it is worth being blunt about. The salt nic range is 50/50 at 20mg and belongs in a refillable pod — Blackwood states it is not for sub-ohm tanks. The freebase range is 65/35 in 3mg to 18mg and wants a tank or an MTL device; put 3mg freebase in a pod and you will barely feel it. Same five flavours either way, so the only real question is what you are vaping on.

The five flavours

Black Diamond is a light tobacco cured with oak — the closest thing here to a plain cigarette-style vape. Blue Diamond is that same light tobacco with menthol run through it. Duke is the strong one: full-bodied Virginia tobacco with aged spice and earthy, herbal notes. Royal Oak is tobacco with black cherry and aged whisky, which makes it the most distinctive bottle in the line. Double Barrel is an aged Burley tobacco on the sweeter side, with spiced and creamy notes behind it.

What it costs

The freebase at $18.99 for 30mL is 63 cents per mL, against $19.95 to $21.95 at other federal-rate Canadian retailers and $26.99 or more where the Ontario stamp applies. That also undercuts our own Kapow freebase 30mL at 67 cents per mL, though Kapow's 60mL bottle is still the cheapest liquid per mL we sell at 58 cents. The salt at $24.99 is 83 cents per mL against $25.95 to $26.99 federal-rate and $33.75 to $36.99 elsewhere; on our shelf it beats Kapow 30mL salt at 87 cents, while Crave at 80 cents is lower if you want a dessert flavour rather than a tobacco one. All prices include federal excise duty.
